Obituary for James Thomas "Dumpy" Hosch, Jr.
Mr. James Thomas “Dumpy” Hosch Jr., 59, passed on Friday, Sept. 29, 2017 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, Winston-Salem.
Born on July 30, 1958 in Davidson County, he was the son of Mr. James Thomas Hosch Sr. and the late Leila Mae Hosch (Johnny) Holland.
He was educated in the Salisbury-Rowan County School System and was last employed at Abex.
“Dumpy,” as he was affectionately known, attended Mt. Calvary Holy Church and The Refuge.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Vernetta Jones Hosch of the home; children, Jamie Hosch, Thomas (Kandis) Hosch and Danielle Hosch, all of Salisbury; four grandchildren; father, James Thomas (Juanita) Hosch Sr. of Mocksville; sisters and brother, Thelma (Ralph) Michael, Amer Willie (Fran) Hosch, Margaret Kelly, Marilyn Hosch, Jill (Yusef) Tindal and Sharon (William) Coleman, all of Salisbury; uncle, Hubert Black of Landis; aunt, Margaret Caldwell of Landis; brothers-in-law, Walter (Betty) Jones and Michael Jones; sisters-in-law, Mildred Bost and Dianne Jones; special nephew, Larry Jones, Sr. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
